BEAN, 8 YEAR OLD SHIHPOO
Bean was surrendered by his owners. He was scared, confused but wanted human affection. Bean is completely blind! His owners said they didn't know he was blind but we knew once they put him on the floor and he starting walking into walls, getting stuck under chairs, etc... He was matted; needed to be sedated to groom him and assess his eyes. Bean is completely blind! Bean has gone from not allowing us to touch him to allowing the foster mom to handle him without issue and he loves everyone. He sleeps through the night and is house trained. He gets along with the other dogs in the home. Bean came in overweight but he has slimmed down some and becoming the wonderful dog he was intend to be with love and attention. He loves his walks and has already lost weight just from walking him. Regular exercise is essential.

TRIGGER, 2YR old chihuahua mix NOT; maybe JRT and Great Dane.
Trigger came in to us from Kentucky on 3/22/25. He gets along with everyone, people, kids, dogs, etc... He has seen cats and doesn't seem to care. He is neutered and up to date on all vaccines. Although he lets his foster know when he needs to go out, he will benefit from wearing a belly band to keep him from having accidents until he is on his new family's routine and they get to know his patterns. Trigger is very cooperative and doesn't mind wearing a belly band. Trigger seems like he was an outside dog and is learning house manners. He loves to be close to his foster mom. Trigger is a lover and he is learning limits daily. He didn't know how to play with a ball or toy but now, he is able to play by himself. He is also learning fetch. If interested in adopting Trigger, please go to https://www.sainrescue.org/contact-us/adoption-application/ and complete the adoption application.
