Hi everyone, my name is Boomer. I came to SAIN Rescue from Kentucky. I was found abandoned in a home with my litter mate. No one knows how long we were alone and on our own. I sure am glad I'm in a safe home, soft blankets, good food and water and lots of company. I was scared at first, but only for a very very short time. My foster mom and the volunteers showed me so much love and affection, I relaxed quickly. I am in a home with other dogs, some smaller, some bigger and some about the same size and I get along with all of them. I am a puppy as I am still under 2 years old, so I am very teachable and willing to learn. I am treat motivated too. I love my kongsickles. If you don't know what those are, my foster mom can let you know. I love to eat ice too. I am playful and love my toys and balls. I really would like a fenced in yard because I LOVE to run around and play fetch. If you don't have a fence, then using a long training lead would allow me to run and play fetch while you still have control of me so I don't run away would work too. I can play independently. I think I would like a doggie buddy but I might be okay as an only dog. I am crate trained and have been crated for up to 5 1/2 hours. I am almost completely housetrained. My foster mom uses a belly band on me and I have been keeping it dry except about once a week. If I do have an accident, the belly band catches it and there is no mess.
